So a whole bunch of junk is happening to me lately, which is why I haven't been super active.
First and least, I have become obsessed with Skyrim. It's the best game I've ever played. It's fantastic. I could seriously sit down and abandon my life in favour of this digital virtual one. I love it. <3
Secondly, the Gatwas (Canoe Journeys) is happening where I live this year! Every year, all kinds of First Nations from up and down the coast paddle to one of the towns. Last year, it was in Quinault, Washington. My friends paddled down the coast in a traditional ocean-going canoe! Anyway, this year, 3000 people have arrived in our town, some just to witness the festivities, some actually paddled here from all along the coast. Let the record stand that usually our town has about 1200 people.
Heck, there are even some people from Hawaii and places like that who joined some of the nations like Squamish and paddled with them. It's so, so cool... and I have taken advantage of this by selling T-shirts my dad's made, his prints, and painting faces for little kids...
... Which brings me to my next announcement! I have been shortlisted for the Shecana homestay study abroad program! WOOOOO!!! So next year in February, I'll be flying off to Scandinavia or Europe for six months! I am honestly so excited I can't even. The farthest I've been away from home was still in my own country (but I'm Canadian, so meh. We could hide England in the north of this country and the British would never find it). Anywho, I'm so, so fantastically happy and excited for this opportunity!
I'm fundraising for this trip. As above mentioned, I've been selling T-shirts, prints and painting faces. You might notice that I've started up a donation pool right here on DA (It's only for $50, but I'm pretty sure I won't make that much
). I'll probably be setting up something to do with the shirts on my DA, but for now that's TBA.
I'm also trying to figure out what to do with Madhouse Funhouse. Comic or novel? Online publishing or paper? I'll figure it out, eventually.

So, in light of the fact that I post on here never, I'm making an effort to rebrand as a more serious and professional artist, and I have all of this ancient art on here that makes me ashamed to look at, I'm probably not gonna post on here much, if ever.

I don't use this site too much anymore because it's good for making portfolios but not really getting well known. I'm pretty active on Tumblr and recently AO3 and I have a blog about my life here so if you want to talk to me I'm about 10x more likely to get back to you on there. Also I'm sorta rebranding as Runaway instead of Geli-K (in case you didn't notice that all of my new accounts have that username lmao)

But when I bought it, it was called "premium". I don't know why they're changing everything. Some of it is good (updated sta.sh, blah, blah), but some of it is dumb (new logo that doesn't rlly make sense for example).
Anyhow, I guess I won't be renewing it. I spend about 90% less time on here than I did last year. I need to whittle down my internet time, (mostly tumblr, I'm an addict).
Also I'm doing Inktober, right now! Woohoo! Five days in, and it's been tough. :P
